MEMPHIS, TN — Window World Inc.®, the nation’s largest replacement window and home remodeling company, and Window World Cares™, its charitable foundation, spent the day with the children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® on Dec. 8, 2011. The company hosted “Window World Day,” a holiday party filled with games, gifts and activities for the children. Additionally, Window World Cares presented St. Jude with a check for $2.3 million to support the advancement of hospital programs.

More than 140 Window World employees, families and friends attended the event. Kathy Ireland, Window World chief designer and CEO of kathy ireland WorldWide®, and John Andretti, veteran racer and driver of numerous Window World-sponsored race cars, were also in attendance. Throughout the day, individuals toured the hospital and residence areas, met with patients and their families and volunteered at the children’s holiday party.

“For the past few years, we have been amazed by the impact St. Jude continuously has on so many children,” said Tammy Whitworth, chairman and CEO of Window World and co-founder of Window World Cares. “We are honored to be able to give back to such an incredible organization and look forward to growing our relationship even more as time goes on.”

Window World Cares supports causes such as St. Jude and Veterans Airlift Command. In 2010, Window World received the hospital’s “New Corporate Partner of the Year” award, a recognition given annually to a partner who demonstrates excellence and dedication in fundraising.

Also present at the event was ‘the Stinger,’ a 2011 concept show car created by John Andretti, Andretti Autosport and Window World that pays tribute to the first winning Indianapolis 500 car, the 1911 Marmon Wasp. The Stinger showcases the signatures of more than 190 former Indy 500 starters. For each signature received, Window World makes a donation of $189 to Window World Cares. To date, signatures obtained on the Stinger have contributed more than $36,000 to support St. Jude and the Veterans Airlift Command.
